2D PRESET-MAPPING: Flexible Audio Control

The PRESET MAPPING patch (Sept_09) is an experiment in morphing multiple parameters using various user-defined presets distributed over a 2D map.

This experimental patch was developed in line with a simple FM / AM soft-synth, also created using Cycling'74 Max/MSP. This synthesizer used 8 parameters to control its timbre, which were set by the PRESET MAPPING part of the patch, written in JavaScript, and implemented via Max/MSP's js object.

The PRESET MAPPING patch could be used with any parameter-controlled software patch, providing continous control over multiple parameters with minimal input data.
