The third Loci album was written over a long period of time, with some tracks demo'ing before Loci I was recorded. The main bulk of the song-writing & demo recording was done back in 2006/2007, but due to my focus being shifted to my Sound & Music Production degree work, it was set asside until the album was taken on as my Individual Practice module for the course.
Just as Loci II was a musical progression from the first album, Loci III again has a more adventurous sound & instrumentation. Where I had adhered to some strict instrumental constraints during the writing of Loci I, this album enjoyed 'what-ever sounded cool at the time'. I also wanted to use a wide & varied musical palette, as it was the subject of a sound engineering degree module.
