Loci - The first album in the Loci Trilogy! Later adopting the name Loci I (Loci one) to distinguish it from II & III. This album started as a mini side-project to keep my busy whilst waiting for a home-studio upgrade. I decided to try to record some really basic acoustic songs with few overdubs or effects. I wrote & recorded few tracks; the first was 'Take a Minute', then 'Life Is Not For Me' and I think 'Everybody Lets You down' was one of the first too. I played them to some mates, and got a great response, so decided to make it into a full album.
The songs were all written & recorded within three weeks, along with quite a few that didn't make the final cut. Actually, all except 'Interlude', which was added much later during the polishing stage. (Though some may not believe that there could have been a polishing stage!! :-). After recording Loci II I returned to the first album, cut out the dead wood, and added acoustic bass & some extra vox.
